Job Description:

Senior Researcher - Financial Institutions (The Boston Consulting Group,

Inc. - Boston, MA): Conduct comprehensive, high-quality research in a

timely and accurate manner and clearly package, articulate and deliver

findings with a focus on Financial Institutions topics such as Retail

Banking, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Transaction Banking, Asset

Management and Wealth Management. Specific duties include: collect,

summarize and synthesize relevant data and information into appropriate,

concise, timely and highly effective outputs; develop strong credibility

based on the delivery of high-quality data and research output to help meet

a variety of challenging business needs; support a high number of varying

projects in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment that is customer-focused; identify practical, timely and innovative research approaches as appropriate; clarify request objectives with internal customers ensuring superior customer service standards throughout all interactions; evaluate data quality; develop deep expertise in specialized research tools, databases and sources; provide quality assurance; coordinate research projects for sub

to more junior researchers; contribute to building "best in class research

function" by partnering directly with consultants and Practice Areas to

understand knowledge needs; proactively identify knowledge gaps; suggest

improvements in the research process; help develop the overall service

portfolio; and support more complex research products. Requires a

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related field (willing

to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of financial

research experience for the banking, asset management, hedge fund, or

private equity sector. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative

experience requirement not applicable to this section) – must possess the

following: (i) research and database capabilities with a focus on

specialized industries and topics including Retail Banking, Corporate

Banking, Capital Markets, Transaction Banking, Asset Management and Wealth

Management; (ii) research techniques and business information

sources/databases; (iii) problem solving skills and an ability to clarify

and work through ambiguous research projects; and (iv) effective

communication and teaming with colleagues of all cohorts and levels to

explore opportunities for collaboration, new business opportunities and

knowledge transfer. Multiple positions available. Must have unrestricted

authorization to work in U.S. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 45+ hours per week.
