Start your future with BorgWarner now!Job purposeThis position will report to the VP of Tax and will lead the completion of all direct tax compliance activities in EMEA. This position will also help support the Director, Tax Operations and Manager, Tax Reporting in completing all required quarterly and annual US GAAP reporting obligations for EMEA. -Key responsibilities

  • Working with chosen advisor network and local business unit representatives to ensure all direct tax filings and payments in EMEA are on time.
  • Supporting local business unit representatives and/or chosen advisor networks to ensure all required quarterly and year-end US GAAP consolidated income tax provision requirements are met on a timely and accurate basis in compliance with ASC 740.
  • Enhancement of the Company's tax team reputation through the provision of timely, practical, business-focused, and efficient support to business unit representatives and other functions.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of tax related processes and policies, with a focus on automation and increased efficiencies in EMEA.
  • Supporting internal and external audit processes (both from a consolidated and statutory reporting perspective).
  • Supporting the business unit and HR activity related to indirect taxes wherever possible and helping to coordinate external resources in this regard.
  • Assisting with specialized tax matters specific to EMEA (e.g., those related to European Directives) What we're looking for
    • Minimum of 10+ years of tax experience at a Big Four Public Accounting Firm and/or within an industry role.
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting , CPA and/or MST highly preferred .
    • Very strong working knowledge of tax rules of key jurisdictions within EMEA required.
    • Working knowledge of transfer pricing concepts and strong working knowledge of ASC 740 required.
    • Working knowledge of US federal and international tax rules, including US tax reform (i.e., TCJA) and associated treasury regulations desired.
    • Must have advanced-level computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Power-Bi desired.
    • Must have strong project management and professional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Must be a team player, with strong ethics and values and a proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Must have strong analytical skills, an ability to exercise judgment, and a creative thinker.
    • Must be a self-starter and proactive learner that can keep up with tax law changes.What we believe
