Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 07:00am - 04:30pm. Our office is located at 475 Kilvert Street, Warwick, RI.--Employees will be required to work some days onsite and some days from home.*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing the claims volume in the workqueue.
• Better understanding of the claim edits in the workqueue.
• Efficiently working the edits to resolve the issue by touching the claim once.
• Effectively manage the flow of the claim by assigning them to the correct workqueue.
• Printing claims.
• Co-ordinate amongst team members if needed for follow-up.
• Validating all the errors are resolved.
• Resolving clearing house edits and rejections.

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 6+ months of office experience using phones and computers as the primary job tools
  • Intermediate proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new applications.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) on any 8-hour shift within the operating hours of 7:00am--- 4:30pm--or 8:00am--- 4:30pmTelecommuting Requirements:
    • Reside within Warwick, RI
    • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
    • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
    • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet servicePreferred Qualifications:
      • 6+ months of Revenue Cycle Medical Billing related experience
      • Experience in Epic or other common practice software systems
      • Experience working with ambulatory physician coding and billing
      • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and application of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and modifiersCareers with Optum.
