Job DescriptionLooking for a candidate with flexible availability.Position availability is Tuesday & Thursdays - 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM with the option to pick up other shifts, as needed.Position is perfect for a student doing online course studies or a retired professional!* We currently are not allowing visitors into our community. Please apply via Careerbuilder; Interviews will be conducted via telephone and/or video chat*The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the information referral center for all residents, families, potential residents, staff, guests, community contacts, and others visiting the community. S/he must be aware of all daily activities, administrative staff, and management company roles and responsibilities and direct or answer questions accordingly. In addition, the Front Desk Receptionist shall provide support for some computer processing duties as appropriate.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Greets visitors immediately upon arrival* Responsible for obtaining body temperatures and completing the symptom screening checklist per the Rhode Island Department of Health for each individual who enters the facility.* Follows all PPE guidelines based on the community risk and as per the Rhode Island Department of Health.* Professionally handles all phone calls and routes callers or answers questions in a timely and courteous manner* Demonstrates basic understanding of emergency call system and nurse paging system* Offers refreshments (coffee, water, etc.) to visitors, where applicable* Greets all residents, associates, and visitors with a warm smile and pleasant tone of voice* Manages doctor appointment book* Acts as concierge for residents (calling taxis, handling telephone and/or cable problems, checking newspaper deliveries, etc.)* Keeps lobby clean and neat, free of clutter and trash* Reports any mal-functioning equipment to maintenance* Assists the Community Sales Team, led by the Executive Director, with sales and marketing programs and initiatives* Develops and practices the "30 second commercial" to be used when greeting visitors* Participates in in-service trainings as required by state regulationsJob RequirementsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATION:* High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred.* Possesses expert knowledge of telephone system and capable of teaching othersSKILLS AND ABILITIES* Possesses expert knowledge of telephone system and capable of teaching others* Demonstrates proficient computer skills (word processing, email, internet, Excel, etc.)* Maintains awareness of all daily activities (and changes); must be able to "go with the flow"* Has full knowledge of the administrative staff, ownership, and management company* Possesses excellent verbal communication skillsBENEFITSWe believe in offering our employees competitive pay.
