Job Description Job Description Job Title: Regional Facilities Manager Full Time | Malden, MA The Carabetta Companies is seeking a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee and actively manage the maintenance, safety, and operational performance of four residential properties in Malden, MA . This hands-on role partners closely with Property Managers, Maintenance Technicians, and the Regional Manager to ensure facilities are maintained to company standards, operate safely and efficiently, and meet compliance requirements. This position requires 24/7 on-call availability to respond to emergency situations, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays, to ensure resident safety and uninterrupted property operations. Key Responsibilities Actively oversee and participate in maintenance operations across four properties, ensuring high-quality, timely completion of work. Assign, prioritize, and support the completion of service requests and work orders, guiding maintenance staff as needed. Lead and mentor maintenance staff, providing hands-on support, training, and performance feedback. Perform move-out inspections, unit turnovers, and other hands-on tasks to ensure units meet company standards and are ready for residents. Coordinate, supervise, and inspect contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of work. Track labor, materials, and work order progress, maintaining accurate documentation and manageable workloads. Respond promptly to resident maintenance concerns and emergency situations. Assist with vendor invoices and purchase orders as needed to support facility operations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Must have thorough knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including boilers, chillers and switchgear and their operations. Ability to work patiently and cooperatively with the Senior Property Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Staff, Contractors, and Residents. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in supervising all aspects of property maintenance, staff, and contractors. Maintain a collaborative and team-oriented work environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license required. Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing over 25 lbs. Ability to work under environmental conditions including temperature extremes, noise, strong odors, varying light levels, traffic hazards, and outdoor weather conditions. Must be available for 24/7 on-call and emergency response shifts. Minimum Training and Experience Approximately 5-10 years of experience in maintenance/facilities and managerial roles.
