We are a remote-first fintech company looking for an experienced User Interface Engineer to make Array's products accessible. You'll drive strategic improvements for Array's products' accessibility by advocating for accessibility best practices across the company.

Responsibilities:

Architect, build and implement accessibility features across Array, providing technical accessibility expertise and developing innovative services for end users
Support and partner with product teams in shipping accessible products and resolving accessibility bugs
Advocate and help build accessibility standards into the product development process by collaborating with other engineers, designers and product managers
Serve as a subject matter expert and champion our principles of accessibility and inclusion
Coach and train others in accessibility standards and best practices

Qualifications:

3+ years experience in modern frontend web technologies; past experience with Svelte, TypeScript, React and Sass / CSS preferred
In depth understanding of accessibility standards and best practices including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
IAAP WAS certification
Experience with any major JavaScript framework, TypeScript and Node.js
Experience instrumenting applications with real user metrics to reflect the customer experience
Experience with assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice recognition) in conducting accessibility testing
Track record of delivering accessible, stable, performant, secure and scalable front-end software
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms
