POSITION MECHANICAL ENGINEER IMECHANICAL ENGINEER I RESPONSIBILITIES:Be a driving force within the larger development team to successfully launch new and innovative products and features to market through collaboration and teamwork.Create technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and 2D and 3D digital models of mechanical equipment designs, using measurements, specifications, and additional data.Collect initial drawings, calculations, and design ideas from the R&D team, and combine all relevant data into coherent and complete initial design models for review and modification that meets established requirements as outlined in PRD documents.Coordinate directly with project managers and Quality to understand project requirements, verify design details, and recommend modifications as needed according to company standards and best practices.Annotate and verify all numerical designations and specifications in technical drawings and schematics, using both CAD programs (Solidworks) and manual calculations when necessary.Create technical drawings and digital models within deadlines to ensure deliverables include all relevant design details.Regularly communicate and resolve all technical issues with vendor/supplier base.MECHANICAL ENGINEER I QUALIFICATIONS:Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience is required.3 to 5 years of related experience required.Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D technical drawing in SolidWorks is required.Familiarity with DFMEA process and must be an active contributor during product reviews.TriMech Services is an engineering resource provider specializing in the placement of qualified technical candidates for both temporary and direct hire opportunities.
