Will Do: Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic
engineering organization focused on the development and
certification of military and, commercial and industrial gas
turbine engine control, and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible
for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic
system development including requirements analysis & definition,
system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product
software design, verification & validation. We integrate the
control and diagnostic system design across other engine system
modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout
the complete engine product life cycle. The Diagnostics,
Prognostics & Health Management (DPHM) discipline within CDS is
responsible for the development and deployment of cutting-edge data
acquisition systems, diagnostics, prognostics, and analytics. This
includes Usage Based Lifing (UBL) for P&W engines and
components and deploying state of the art development tools &
methodologies. In this role, we are seeking an analytics and data
engineer to be a member of DPHM’s Commercial Analytics and Data
Engineering team. The team develops the systems that ingest engine
data, the tools to access and analyze it, and the analytics which
provide critical analytics and alerts to keep the fleet flying as
smoothly as possible. The team provides a framework for downstream
engineers, data scientists, and analysts to work in so that they
can focus on analyzing the data and solving physical problems,
instead of becoming mired in data wrangling. Collaborating closely
with downstream teams is essential to developing the best next
generation tools, algorithms, and analytics for commercial
applications. The position is based at the P&W East Hartford
facility and is an onsite role. Key Responsibilities: Analytics
development using statistical analysis, physics-based models, and
artificial intelligence applied to operational fleet data.
Deploying algorithms to customer facing systems to drive engine
maintenance and improve fleet health. Integrating external or new
datasets into existing data pipelines. Controls software
improvements and development for health monitoring functions and
algorithms. Continuously monitoring and testing our analytics and
alerting system to ensure reliable performance. Qualifications You
Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or
Mathematics (STEM) 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years
with an advanced degree U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is
required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access
information under this program/contract. Qualifications We Prefer:
Proficiency with Python, AWS Services, CI/CD, Elasticsearch /
OpenSearch, SQL, Apache Spark Proficiency in modern data analysis
techniques. Knowledge of gas turbine engines and their operation.
Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic

remote. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative
of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when
