Well-established private Optometry practice in Coventry, RI is looking for an associate Optometrist to add to our team! We are a rapidly growing private practice with heavy disease emphasis and just the right amount of routine exams & contact lenses mixed in. The right candidate must be comfortable practicing full scope optometry, providing an excellent patient experience, be motivated to continue to grow the practice and be willing to adapt to current and changing technology in all aspects of the practice. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive team environment and a great work-life balance (proposed schedule would include 3-day weekends every other week!) A typical daily schedule will have approximately 12-18 patient encounters with a mix of red eyes, foreign body removals, glaucoma, diabetic exams, dry eye/punctal plugs, cataract/LASIK co-management, myopia control, pediatrics--- **We are not a "refract and refer out" practice!** The office is newly renovated with 4 fully equipped exam lanes, OCT, fundus camera, visual field, autorefractor/autokeratometer, iCare tonometer, optical boutique and finishing lab on site. Administrative responsibilities will include completing medical records in a timely manner, compliance with HIPAA standards, proper documentation and coding for patient encounters, EHR familiarity, and participating in team meetings. We have a great team of support staff, including trained work-up technicians, opticians, front desk, dedicated billing team and a fantastic office manager. Single office location - NO TRAVEL REQUIRED, and no after-hour or on-call requirements! Candidate must have a valid RI Optometry license with Rx Amplified Glaucoma TX privileges. Prior billing/coding knowledge and understanding is a huge asset. Competitive base pay is commensurate with experience. New grads are welcome to apply. Full time position (4 - 4.5 days/week), however we are looking for the right candidate and fit for our office above all else. The practice is owned and run by an OD, with NO corporate affiliation (no corporate pressure or metrics to meet!). Coventry is a historic, mixed suburban-rural town in Western Rhode Island, located 25 minutes from Providence, 1 hour from Boston, and bordering Connecticut.
