Overview:***CNA hours Fri 3-9pm, Sat and Sundays 9-5pm or 9-7pm in the Westerly area***The Certified Nursing Assistant provides Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) as assigned in an individuals care plan. Care is generally provided in the home, however, errands, and escort services may also be assigned as designated in an individual's care plan. The CNA may also provide skilled tasks that require special training and competencies that a Homemaker cannot provide.Responsibilities:The Certified Nursing Assistant provides Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) as assigned in an individuals care plan. Care is generally provided in the home, however, errands, and escort services may also be assigned as designated in an individual's care plan. The CNA may also provide skilled tasks that require special training and competencies that a Homemaker cannot provide.ResponsibilitiesThe Certified Nursing Assistant must be able to demonstrate competence with assigned ADLs and IADLs or special tasks and perform these tasks in line with the plan of care.Tasks may include, but are not limited to:Bathing (assist, bed bath, tub bath, shower, sitz)Dressing / UndressingMouth careSkin Care ( non-prescription)Hair CareNail Care ( does not include nail care with clients with Diabetes) no trimming/ file onlyMobility (turn and position, transfer, use of lift, assist with ambulation, range of motion)Medication remindersToileting ( bed pan/ urinal, bowel/ bladder regimen training, collect specimens, perineal /catheter care, apply/remove condom catheters, ostomy careEating ( meal preparations according to clients dietary needs or restrictions, including forcing fluids and restrictions.Assist, monitor or feed the client, according to level of careIADLs may include but are not limited toCookingCleaningShopping and/or pharmacy errandsEscort, may accompany patient to MD apptsIf additional services are requested, the CNA must notify the RN Field Supervisor for further instruction.Be present for Supervisory visits to be performed by RN Field supervisor as requiredTime and Attendance must be logged in via EMR app, or EVV, as required by payer or Hope Nursing Home CareReport planned absences to the office as soon as possible so the scheduled outage may be assigned to another CNAOther duties, as assignedCBH1Qualifications:Must have an active Rhode Island CNA license.An individuals BCI check complying with RI state lawAvailability on your scheduled days.Experienced in Home and Community Based Services, preferred .Comfortable with working in homes with dogs and/or catsValid Driver's License and reliable transportation (Willing to travel)Must be a flexible, highly customer service and people oriented individual who demonstrates compassion, patience and understanding,ensuring the highest level of serivceMaintain a current CNA licenseAbility to read & write in EnglishAbility to lift 50 lbs.by Jobble
