Job Description:
Position Summary/ Department Summary: Nurse Practitioner,
Orthopedics Brief Overview Please note this role will possibility
include covering for several subspecialities of orthopedics. Key
Responsibilities: - Comprehensive care of subspecialty team
patients as well as orthopedic trauma/fracture patients. - Treating
new and established patients, interpretation of diagnostic imaging,
pre-op and post-op appointments, and coordination of care. -
Managing acute and chronic orthopedic conditions that span infant
to young adult age groups. - Clinic coverage could be across all
BCH locations including: Boston, Waltham, Weymouth, Peabody and
Needham - Working four 10-hour shifts per week with built in
administrative time Minimum Qualifications Education: - Master’s
Degree in Nursing Experience: - Previous experience as an NP in
pediatrics, orthopedics or other related area is strongly preferred
- A strong desire to work in the pediatric orthopedic setting. -
Ability to work in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, nurses,
Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) and ambulatory staff is
essential. - Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems
requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical
principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional
experience-based knowledge. - Communication skills to effectively
deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions,
and well-developed writing skills. Licensure/ Certifications: - A
current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice
as PNP or FNP Sign-on bonus of $5,000.00 for fulltime (40 hours) NP
hires (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.) appBCH The
posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith
expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer
provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications,
and a variety of other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of
