Job Description: Physical Therapist for our Outpatient Therapy
practices at Newbridge and Roslindale New Grads welcome to apply
Organize and conduct physical therapy programs to facilitate
rehabilitation. Direct client participation in selected tasks to
restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. Facilitate the
learning of those skills and functions essential for promoting
independence and productivity, in order to diminish or correct
pathology. Direct activities to promote and maintain health. Member
and partner of the patient care delivery team. Demonstrate a strong

SeniorLife and recognize patient dignity and choice in aspects of

Administer diagnostic testing procedures to assess the extent of
patients’ impairments and the prognosis for improvement. Establish
a plan of care to address identified impairments. Set objective and
measurable short and long term treatment goals. Use evidence-based
treatment methods, continuously assessing patient’s response and
modifying/progressing treatments accordingly. Provide objective,
precise, and timely documentation of patient care, patient/family
education, and information regarding units of service. Direct and
supervise supportive personnel in delegated tasks. Assess
competence of supportive personnel to perform assigned tasks.
Strive to achieve the patient’s optimal outcome Position
Responsibilities Evaluate clients, develop appropriate treatment
goals and methods, implement the physical therapy treatment plan,
and complete all related documentation and record keeping regarding
these services. Services include application of therapeutic
techniques in areas such as gait, ambulation, muscle strength,
coordination, endurance, mobility, posture control, sensory
awareness, sitting and standing skills, balance, and orientation.
Design and fit adaptive devices, and train clients in the use of
adaptive devices including orthotics and prosthetics. Select
physical agent modalities suited to the individual’s needs,
physical capacity, mobility activities and diagnosis. Consult with
other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most
appropriate therapeutic regiment consistent with the needs and
capabilities of each client. Instruct client in the skills and
techniques required for participation in mobility activities, and
evaluate client progress, attitudes and behavior as related to
rehabilitative potentials. Customize treatment programs to meet the
needs of individual client. Actively contribute to client care,
staffing conferences and other related meetings. Supervise
supportive personnel in accordance with state and professional
standards. Conduct training programs and participate in training
medical, nursing and other personnel in physical therapy techniques
and objectives. Ensure that clients and families receive the
highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate
atmosphere, which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights.
Rotate and flex according to staffing needs in HSL Therapy Programs
as needed Adhere to established HSL and departmental policies,
procedures, and objectives. Exemplify professionalism and exhibit
values, which contribute to the achievement of the mission of
Hebrew SeniorLife. Demonstrates proficiency with documentation in
the electronic medical record Maintains confidentiality of patient
and information. Participates in quality improvement initiatives

Develop professional skills through the Therapy Career Excellence
Development Program Safety Uses Safe Patient Handling equipment as
trained and according to organizational policy. Identifies
malfunctioning equipment, removes from use, and reports according
to policy. Adheres to all HSL infection control policies.
Qualifications Current Physical Therapy MA Licensure V Physical
Requirements Contact with patients under a wide variety of
circumstances, which may include exposure to unpleasant odors,
sights, and sounds. Subject to varying and unpredictable
situations. May be exposed to infections, contagious diseases, and
blood borne pathogens. Gloves, gown, and mask as necessary.
Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing or walking. Lifting,
positioning, transporting, and/or transferring patients. Lifting
supplies, equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending,
kneeling and crouching. Remote Type Salary Range: $84,971.00 -
$127,458.00
