Takeda as Ethics and Compliance Business Partner, at the director
level, where you will ensure ethical behaviors, which plays a
fundamental role in risk mitigation. You will also be a key
forward-thinking leader in risk identification and mitigation and
build an innovative function supporting achievement of Takeda’s
Vision. Additionally, Ethics & Compliance (E&C) will respond
rapidly to changing environment and business needs; it is close to
the market and encourages ethical behavior in line with Takeda’s
values. By working in an agile manner E&C ensuring the balance
between stable structures, governance, processes and systems, and
dynamic approaches to delivering innovative solutions to
appropriately manage our risks. As part of the Global Ethics &
Compliance team, you will report to the Head of Culture, Policies &
Innovation and you will collaborate across all E&C teams and
partner with Legal, Business Development, Global Corporate Affairs,
and Human Resources (HR) to embed ethics and compliance as part of
the way everyone works at Takeda. How you will contribute: Act as a
strategic partner to corporate function leadership to champion and
embed Takeda values and Patient-Trust-Reputation-Business decision
making framework to foster a values-based culture. Promote speak up
and create an inclusive, safe, open working environment in
collaboration with HR and senior leadership, where employees are
encouraged to speak up and listen to learn. Build and maintain a
network of E&C Advisors and Values Ambassadors, elevating their
capabilities to effectively support employees in living our values
every day. Implement and oversee fit-for-purpose E&C programs
across designated corporate functions to ensure alignment with
global E&C strategy and compliance with internal policies,
ethical standards, and external regulations. Assess ethics and
compliance issues, trends, and regulatory updates regularly to
identify vulnerability, inform risk management strategies, and
update practices as needed. Work closely with senior leaders and
cross-functional partners to establish governance and implement
Ethics & Compliance controls to proactively manage identified
risks. Conduct and facilitate investigation cases in collaboration
with the Global Investigations Team, developing strategies for
corrective actions, root cause analysis, and remediation. Develop
and deliver effective compliance training programs to employees,
enhancing awareness and understanding of ethical standards and
legal obligations. Assist in the monitoring and continuous
improvement of the effectiveness of compliance programs. Maintain
an up-to-date understanding of relevant regulations and ensure all
compliance materials reflect current legal and regulatory
requirements. Strategic Advisor to Corporate Function leadership on
key decisions by providing guidance on ethical dilemmas and
compliance requirements. Manage and resolve compliance issues and
incidents and provide pragmatic advice on compliance requirements
and ethical issues to all levels of staff within the corporate
functions. Drive understanding of overall Corporate Function
strategy and operations for efficient E&C support. Work
cross-functionally to ensure that compliance tools, policies, and
procedures are fully integrated. Partner with Digital Ethics &
Compliance by Design team to embed compliance into data, digital
platforms, and systems from conceptualization to the entire life
cycle of the data and digital products. Provide input into global
E&C Policies/SOPs, initiatives, or programs as relevant and
interface with other E&C teams for support. Minimum
Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. A
post-graduate degree, law degree, healthcare compliance
certification, or education in relevant functions is preferred.
Minimum of 10 or more years of relevant experience in compliance,
ethics, and legal. In-depth knowledge of compliance laws,
regulations, and best practices, especially those relevant to the
pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated experience as a strategic
partner and advisor in a complex organizational structure, ideally
within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry. Proven track
record in leading and implementing comprehensive compliance
programs, managing cross-functional teams, and influencing senior
leadership. Experience in driving cultural change and excellence
programs to foster a values-based organizational culture.
Experience conducting and facilitating investigations, developing
and implementing corrective actions, and conducting compliance
monitoring programs. Exceptional leadership, communication, and
interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all
levels, including executive leadership. Learning agility, curiosity
mindset, proactive, and self-motivated & effective in a matrixed
organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Capable
of working with abstract ideas and complex, ambiguous situations
across various business units and functions & applying pragmatic
solutions. Strategic thinker who maintains focus on operational
details and contributes to broader ethics and compliance
initiatives. Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced and
changing environment, maintaining focus and effectiveness.
Demonstrated strong project and program management skills in
leading cross-functional projects and the ability to prioritize and
handle multiple projects or initiatives with competing priorities.

understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the

practices. For Location: Cambridge, MA U.S. Base Salary Range:
$174,500.00 - $274,230.00 The estimated salary range reflects an
anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered
may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of
the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant
experience, specific and unique skills, level of education
attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and
the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they
will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be
in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the
job location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term
and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to
participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and
company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic
life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer
