Job Description:
Responsible for receiving and dispatching 250+ calls per shift
on both hospital and answering service in an expedient, efficient
and courteous manner using the prescribed telephone etiquette.
Candidate must be empathetic, well-spoken, kind and patient. Have
the ability to stay calm during "911"Code calls. Must be able to
multi-task between several programs simultaneously along with
advanced computer, typing and spelling skills. Verbal and written
skills a MUST. Medical terminology is a PLUS.
The department is open 24/7 and is totally operational during
inclement weather and holidays. Work ethics are extremely important
along with flexibility to cover all shifts when necessary.
All positions, including per diem require extensive training on all
shifts. Training schedule is as follows and is subject to
change:
Monday-Friday 8a-2p Mon-Fri (2-3 weeks)
Monday-Friday 3p-8p (1-2 weeks)
Weekday Evening 10:30p-6:30a(1-2 nights)
