Job Description Job title: Data Scientist II Location: 100%
remote Contract: 6 Months with possible extension Manager’s Note:
Role Overview • Primarily research focused, early stage project •
Build and troubleshoot models, understand why they succeed/fail •
Involves both GNN and large language model work Core Candidate
Requirements • Proficient Python, PyTorch, graph neural network
libraries (e.g., GCN, GAT, GraphSAGE) • Experience with LLMs; not
limited to any specific architecture Preferred / Nice to Have
Skills • Multi omics / bio informatics background (gene expression,
mutation data) • Knowledge graphs (link prediction, relationship
modeling) • Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., LLaMA,
HuggingFace) – at least one benchmark model • Cloud deployment
experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) Non Negotiable Skills (Top 3) • Deep GNN
expertise • Large language model experience • Strong Python
programming / AI experimentation Key Responsibilities: •
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and
deploy AI models tailored to business needs. • Internalize and
integrate external AI programs, ensuring compatibility with our
systems. • Utilize Python/PyTorch/TensorFlow and other programming
languages for developing and refining deep learning models •
Research and implement Graphical Neural Network (GNNs) models and
contribute to their adaptation for analyzing Knowledge Graphs •
Implement and apply literature and data-driven network integration
strategies to infer novel knowledge • Support troubleshooting,
optimization, and potential updates of deployed AI solutions to
improve performance. Qualifications: • PhD in Computational
Science, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (fresh
graduates are welcome). • Proficiency in Python programming, with
demonstrable experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow. • Understanding
Graph Neural Networks and familiarity with transformers, and
analyzing sequential data, experience in deploying AI/ML solutions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. • Ability
to collaborate in a team-oriented environment while being proactive
in managing independent tasks. Preferred Skills: • Experience
applying state of the art AI methodology on biological systems,
specifically on muti-omics data preferred • Experience in cloud
computing environments and deploying AI solutions • Exposure to
other programming languages or AI frameworks (e.g., BERT, LLAMA).
