Job Description:

Trains and guides Manufacturing Technicians in all activities related to press operation. Performs all functional tasks (i.e., operating presses, set-up, inspection, and troubleshooting).Job Requirements:Must be a team player and be supportive and active in the quality program.Performs machine set up & operator work requiring advanced skills. Included in this responsibility is setting feed & shut height. The Team Leader is responsible for coordinating all activities and departmental tasks.Provides any information to supervisor that would detract from optimal production; including recommending employee appraisal / discipline / training etc. Answers all questions & concerns from Manufacturing Techs.Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting on departmental equipment. Sets up and operates more than one press in the manufacture of products. Utilizes a variety of machining equipment.Performs operations in accordance to work order specifications and applicable quality, manufacturing, and safety procedures. Responsible for inspection utilizing advanced measuring instruments such as comparator, micro views and calipers.Utilizes material handling equipment for large loads. Operates a fork lift as needed.May perform first piece and first article inspection as needed. Performs Supervisory duties in the absence of the Supervisor. Will perform duties according to skill and availability. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:May utilize and be expected to understand quality areas such as problem-solving techniques.Receives direction and support from Supervisor, Manager and/or Management Team.Maintains an accurate record of all work performed in appropriate company format.Maintains a neat, clean, orderly and safe work environment.
