Summary: The Data Mapper position is responsible for EDI Data Mapping using custom built internal tool called Smapper.This position will be responsible for setting up new data mapping as well as maintaining existing data mapping. The position will assist with project management for EDI Implementations, specifically with the retailers of our client base. The position works individually and as part of a team to create new projects, provide troubleshooting and maintain existing programs. The position will also be required to track and monitor scenario testing when multiple scenarios need to be tested with each trading partner. The position will analyze and manipulate flat files such as XML, X12, CSV, etc. The position will apply logic based on if then statements to implement business solutions for our clients and their customers. Job Responsibilities Include: Create new data mapping and maintaining existing maps Create logic within the B2BGateway custom built tool, Smapper, to build maps for TP/client relationships. Create logic within the B2BGateway custom built tool, Smapper, to make adjustments to the existing maps and document flows. Provide support for problem resolution, including reproduction of customer and/or 3rd party vendor issues. Remaining ahead of new technologies as needed to successfully support internal and external customers Perform analysis of issues down to debug, ensuring that all issues are properly analyzed/vetted prior to sending to the software development team May need to provide telephone and e-mail support to customer base, business partners, and internal staff Track and Monitor Scenario Testing when multiple scenarios need to be tested with each trading partner Work closely with programming and other implementation teams to coordinate testing Analyze and Manipulate flat files (XML, X12, CSV, etc.) ExperienceRequiredStrong organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills are a must. Prior experience in handling multiple projects/issues/ customers required. PreferredAn EDI technical background or an understanding of transaction processing is a plus.Experience supporting, configuring, or integrating with business systems such as QuickBooks, Sage 50/100/300/500, SageERPX3 or Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus.Ability to "think outside the box" and deductive reasoning. Customer issues may be related to code defects, product configurations, networking, platform, third party software, or environment. Be able to identify root cause quickly and view issues holistically.Ability to work with customers, internal business unit organizations, and third party vendors with working knowledge of general accounting practices and understanding of customer business flow.Experience with the following technologies: .Net/C#, Silverlight, ASP.Net, HTML, JavaScript, SQL Server and XML is a plus.General understanding of software usability, object oriented theory, web services, SQL databases, and development life cycle methodologies (e.g. AGILE, Waterfall) is a plus.Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including research of errors, reproducing support problems in test environments, logic evaluation/diagnosis, strong process of elimination logic, and read/diagnosing log files.EducationRequiredBachelors or better in Mathematics or related fieldSkillsRequiredTime ManagementMulti-taskingPreferredAttention to DetailAnalytical
