Recruitment Manager Council: Girl Scouts Of Southeastern New England Job Location: RI - Warwick Salary Range: $33,700 - $37,000 Employment Type: Full-Time (Regular) Job #: 7506 Post Date: 4/6/2021 Job Summary The Recruitment Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and assessing comprehensive year-round recruitment and membership support strategies that increase girl and volunteer membership and enhance retention in assigned geographic areas called service units. They develop and foster community partnerships and volunteer involvement while providing a consistent image of the Councils commitment to Girl Scouts and the community at large. Responsible for volunteer recruitment, member identification, growth, and maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Through analysis of community needs, demographic data and membership statistics, develop, design and conduct recruitment and retention plan for girl and volunteer membership growth in designated geographic areas. Accountable for meeting or exceeding an annual membership recruitment and retention goals for girl and adult members.
Implements membership recruiting marketing strategies outlined in the council's strategic plan, tactical plan, and/or other council goals including cultivation and organization of communities to result in increased girl and volunteer leads.
Establishes the appropriate volunteer support team to accomplish key priorities by selecting, appointing, and coaching volunteers in assigned geographic areas.
Cultivates relationships with appropriate community leaders, organizations, and businesses to increase visibility of Girl Scouts in the community.
Provides high quality customer service by optimizing the use of technology, clarifying desired information, researching, locating, and delivering findings, and follow-up on all leads, referrals, and cases in a timely fashion.
Provides ongoing support, supervision, and direction to administrative volunteers in assigned geographic areas by interpreting Girl Scouts of the USA and council policies, standards, and procedures and by directing volunteers to additional support services.
Identifies the need for and provides timely problem solving and conflict resolution support/intervention when appropriate.
Serves as the main point of contact for geographic area volunteers relaying pertinent information to council staff and to guide volunteers to additional support services and resources.
Ensure that diversity, pluralism, and inclusion is embraced and incorporated into the daily work of the position.
Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
Provides input to GSSNE Council planning, reporting and record keeping, and supports initiatives in support of the GSSNE strategic plan.
Performs other duties as necessary or assigned. Ensures membership recruiting marketing strategies outlined in the council's strategic plan, annual business plan and/or other council goals, including cultivation and organization of communities, that result in increased girl and volunteer leads for inside sales.
Has measurable and attainable action plans and schedules to meet membership goals.
Provides excellent sales and customer service to engage with community businesses, organizations, agencies and leaders, educators, and faith-based institutions to increase awareness of and participation in Girl Scouting. Job Qualifications Bachelors or higher preferred or equivalent experience with four years of directly related work experience, and at least two years of managerial experience.
Experienced in data management using sales/customer management software (Salesforce preferred) Experience in membership development, recruitment and/or retention Excellent written and oral communication skills bilingual preferred Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and volunteers at all levels of the organization.
Ability to employ strict discretion in sensitive situations.
Comfort with uncertainty and ambiguity while being proactive in anticipating and preempting problems.
Must hold membership in theGirl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Required Skills/Abilities: Some periods of continual sitting, standing or walking may be required.
Capability to provide own transportation and maintain valid operator license and insurance.
Able to work primarily on-the-road, with minimal time in-office Strong computer and data entry skills Microsoft Office proficient Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Travel throughout council jurisdiction up to 75% of the time for meetings, cultivation opportunities, and activities. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to withstand: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Operate office equipment manually.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds at times.
