4/6/2021 Job Summary The Recruitment Manager is responsible for
developing, executing, and assessing comprehensive year-round
recruitment and membership support strategies that increase girl
and volunteer membership and enhance retention in assigned
geographic areas called service units. They develop and foster
community partnerships and volunteer involvement while providing a
consistent image of the Councils commitment to Girl Scouts and the
community at large. Responsible for volunteer recruitment, member
identification, growth, and maintenance. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Through analysis of community needs, demographic
data and membership statistics, develop, design and conduct
recruitment and retention plan for girl and volunteer membership
growth in designated geographic areas. Accountable for meeting or
exceeding an annual membership recruitment and retention goals for
girl and adult members.
Implements membership recruiting marketing strategies outlined in
the council's strategic plan, tactical plan, and/or other council
goals including cultivation and organization of communities to
result in increased girl and volunteer leads.
Establishes the appropriate volunteer support team to accomplish
key priorities by selecting, appointing, and coaching volunteers in
assigned geographic areas.
Cultivates relationships with appropriate community leaders,
organizations, and businesses to increase visibility of Girl Scouts
in the community.
Provides high quality customer service by optimizing the use of
technology, clarifying desired information, researching, locating,
and delivering findings, and follow-up on all leads, referrals, and
cases in a timely fashion.
Provides ongoing support, supervision, and direction to
administrative volunteers in assigned geographic areas by
interpreting Girl Scouts of the USA and council policies,
standards, and procedures and by directing volunteers to additional
Identifies the need for and provides timely problem solving and
conflict resolution support/intervention when appropriate.
Serves as the main point of contact for geographic area volunteers
relaying pertinent information to council staff and to guide
volunteers to additional support services and resources.
Ensure that diversity, pluralism, and inclusion is embraced and
incorporated into the daily work of the position.
Active participation in the development of environments that foster

higher preferred or equivalent experience with four years of

Must hold membership in theGirl Scout organization and subscribe to

Capability to provide own transportation and maintain valid
operator license and insurance.
Able to work primarily on-the-road, with minimal time in-office
