Mid-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/EngineerF.W. Webb Company - Warwick, RIAlliance Environmental Group, a Division of F.W. Webb Company, is seeking a mid-level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer with experience in the environmental consulting industry to support our Warwick, Rhode Island office. The work to be performed under this position will include due-diligence field assessments and report preparation, environmental sample collection (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air/vapor, etc.), data evaluation, and report writing for submittal to various clients and regulatory agencies. The position will involve projects in all areas of environmental assessment and remediation. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of field methods and protocols as well as time management and technical skills. The position requires a well-organized candidate with strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations is also required, as is the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. The qualified candidate will have the following roles and responsibilities:Conduct fieldwork including groundwater sampling, surface water/sediment sampling, and soil vapor/indoor air sampling.Provide oversight of drilling and tank removals including subcontractor management, soil classification, field screening, and data logging.Prepare and/or support the development of permit applications for stormwater and wastewater management activities.Conduct operation and maintenance of active remediation systems including troubleshooting and repairs.Assist with project scoping/estimating and the preparation of cost proposals.In order to be successful in this role, qualified candidates should be able to:Self-manage/self-motivate to handle multiple competing projects while producing quality results within specific time constraints.Produce written reports and ancillary documents that display sound technical writing abilities. Capable of producing high-quality documents for our Client base.Establish working relationships with peers that includes a high degree of mutual respect and integrity.Collaborate with other members within the organization to develop scopes of work, written proposals, and final deliverables.Be a strategic thinker and doer.Candidates for consideration should have 4 to 7 years of environmental consulting experience and at minimum a B.S. degree within an environmental discipline.
