Scientist II, Scientific Affairs Job Description SummaryThis
position reports to the Associate Director, Scientific Affairs, and
is responsible for providing advanced scientific expertise and
direct contribution to the scientific and medical strategy of the
organization and for executing assigned tasks to support Scientific

Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities 1. Integrally
involved with all aspects of Scientific Affairs including the
assembly of peer-reviewed literature and publicly presented
materials on any products or surgical technique to support business
objectives. 2. Presentation on the outputs of literature searches
and other background information. 3. Generation of written or other
forms of reports to summarize assembled data. 4. Contribution to
the publication and scientific communication strategy to support
the organization. 5. Medical and scientific writing as assigned. 6.
Reviewing scientific literature in order to stay current as needed
in the industry. 7. Special projects as assigned. Qualifications,
Knowledge, and Skills Required: 1. BS in veterinary/animal science,
biology, physiology, or related field, with a minimum of 3 yrs
hands-on experience in either an academic, industrial or CRO
laboratory setting. OR 2. MS in veterinary/animal science, biology,
physiology, or related field, with a minimum of 2 yrs hands-on
experience in either an academic, industrial or CRO laboratory
setting. 3. Familiarity with the processes in the medical device
industry. 4. Previous experience executing literature searches. 5.
Experience with medical or scientific writing is desirable. 6.
Statistical / Analytical capabilities and familiarity with the use
of statistical software. 7. Excellent organizational skills 8.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. For certain
