About The Role:

Responsible for assisting the Chief Underwriter, Deputy Chief Underwriter and Senior Underwriter in evaluating Multifamily loan requests, assessing key areas of risks and conformance with CMC and Fannie Mae credit standards and program requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for credit and real estate analysis, processing incoming exhibits and preparing final delivery underwriting packages. Preparation of Borrower credit analysis including determination of net worth, liquidity, overall financial strength and acceptability of proposed borrower structure.
  • Reviews narrative and underwriting packages on new loan requests in cooperation with debt origination teams and prepares materials for final loan committee.
  • Reviews underwriting due diligence information and integrates real estate information from market research reports and other third-party sources. Performs site inspections to evaluate property and local market conditions.
  • Prepares loan commitment and rate lock documentation and coordinates with internal trading desk during rate lock process.
  • Trains, plans and supervises assignments of underwriting analysts.
  • Interfaces and collaborates with other internal and external teams, including production underwriters and analysts, insurance and closing, lender legal counsel, and Fannie Mae partners.

    • 2+ years' experience in evaluating commercial real estate properties including property inspections, reviewing financial documents, and underwriting loan transactions. Willingness to travel as needed.
    • Strong work ethic, excellent written and analytical skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with team and Fannie Mae in fast-paced environment are required.
    • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
    • Demonstrates a thorough approach and attitude.

      CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Underwriter position is $78,500 annually and the maximum salary for the Underwriter] position is $95,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
