Job Location: Virtual, but must be commutable to West Des Moines,
Tampa, or Warwick
Role Value Proposition:
Under minimal supervision, this position will be tasked with
supporting projects and assisting with the performance of audits
and exam requests. Identifies and mitigates risk items. Monitors
and tracks legislative changes that impact business operations.
Participates in compliance testing at a moderate to complex level.
Assignment of business projects with varying degrees of complexity
Requires comprehensive knowledge of compliance principles, related
company policies and government regulations. Strong analytical and
computer skills. Ability to make business decisions and work with
compliance, legal, and staff members to obtain guidance. Provides
and maintains effective communications with key business partners
Acts as liaison between Corporate Ethics and Compliance and
Operations to develop, implement, and follow up on corrective and
proactive controls action plans. Ensures that administrative
processes are consistent with company policy and insurance and
securities rules and regulations.
Assists with review of internal and external audits, complaints and
concerns with compliance and the business and assists in developing
corrective measures and implementation. May develop and maintain a
compliance review program. Assists other staff to perform audits of
processes to ensure compliance with stated procedures. Assists in
identifying issues and developing action plans and responds to
related inquiries. Assists with the performance of audits verifying
action plans are implemented properly and timely. Consults the
business related to proposed and implemented legislative changes.
Support of new and ongoing projects as assigned.
Escalates issues to management. Seeks guidance and counsel from
Corporate Compliance, Corporate Legal or Controls staff regarding
controls related inquiries, concerns, and/or regulations. Performs
other duties as required or assigned.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required: 2-3 years of related work experience in Life and/or
Series 6 licensure (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
Ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience with projects
and data review & analysis.
Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel experience.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced enviornment.
Must be extremely organized and detail oriented.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an
