Job Description:
Description:The Senior Commercial Credit Analyst's primary
responsibility is compiling and assessing financial information
required to make credit decisions for commercial loan requests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing
financial analysis to make credit decisions, contributing to the
loan decision process, monitoring the existing loan portfolio and
evaluating credit risk. They will also provide training for junior
level Credit Analysts and provide project assistance to the Credit
Manager and Chief Credit Officer.Underwrite complex C & I and CRE
credit requests for new and existing commercial client base to
produce credit worthiness including but not limited to: collecting
information from various internal and external resources; recording
into risk based model; analyzing, interpreting and reporting
results; and ensuring signature authority has been
identified.Prepare annual reviews for existing customers as
requested.Analyze and interpret all types of credit information on
existing customer relationships, to include but not limited to:
financial statements, tax returns, projections, ratios, and credit
reports.Complete credit analysis and prepare recommendations
regarding the renewals and risk ratings of credit extensions
requests submitted for approval.Understand and ensure compliance
with all Federal and State Regulations and internal banking
policies and procedures.Attend customer and prospect site visits
with Relationship Managers, as requested, to gain insight into the
client's business operations.Complete projects as assigned by the
Credit Manager or Chief Credit OfficerMaintain current knowledge
and consistent compliance with regulations, bank policies and
procedures related to the position.Requirements: To perform this
job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily, and comply with all Federal and
State Regulations, and internal banking procedures.Bachelor's
degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 - 10 year's related
experience in a financial institution.Required: 2 college level
accounting classes (managerial and financial or
equivalents).Required to possess the ability to interpret and
comprehend instructions, procedures, bank policies, as well as
understanding all regulatory compliance associated with the
position.Must be able to independently originate professional
correspondence as well as possess the ability to communicate their
thoughts/ideas in a clear and concise manner to internal and
external customers.Must possess the ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions and decimals.Must be able to compute rate and
percentMust have the ability to solve practical problems and deal
with a variety of variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists.Ability required to interpret a variety of
complex instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form.Ability required to read, analyze, and interpret
financial reports and legal documents.Must be proficient with
Microsoft Office.Also required are good organizational and
interpersonal skills as well as strong attention to detail.While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The
employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
