Job Description:
The Assembly and Inventory Technician is responsible for
assembling, testing, and troubleshooting a variety of
electro-mechanical systems. In addition to assembly tasks, this
role manages physical inventory, performs incoming material
inspections, and conducts basic diagnostics to identify and resolve
technical issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly
organized, and possesses strong technical skills. All
responsibilities and duties are performed in a clean,
air-conditioned manufacturing facility.Responsibilities and Duties
Assembly and Testing
- Assemble electro-mechanical systems according to provided work
instructions.
- Conduct functional tests on final assembled systems to ensure
they meet defined performance standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot system issues, making necessary
adjustments or repairs.Inventory Management
- Manage and maintain accurate physical inventory of components,
parts, and finished products.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Perform regular inventory audits and work with team to resolve
discrepancies.Incoming Inspection
- Conduct inspections of incoming materials to verify quality and
quantity.
- Document and report any non-conformities or
defects.Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
- Utilize tools and diagnostic equipment to perform basic
electrical and mechanical diagnostics to identify and resolve
issues with components and systems.
- Work with engineering and technical support teams to develop
and implement solutions for complex and recurring
problems.Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of test results, inventory levels,
and inspection outcomes.
- Prepare reports on production and quality metrics for
management review.Experience and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; military technician
training, technical certification or associate degree in a
technical field preferred.
- Proven experience in assembly, inventory management, and
quality inspection.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and
components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic
equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics,
and manuals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple
tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively
in a team environment.Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
